Get Training will assist to source work placements with Gas Safe registered companies at an additional cost.

Generally, there are no age restrictions to undertaking courses. All applicants are considered individually taking health and safety into account.

Get Training has ample free car parking spaces available right outside our doors.

All courses are different, but most all-day courses run from 8.30am until 4.30pm. Allow a little more time on a course start date to complete registration documents. Your course start time will be confirmed prior to your start date.

This depends on the course that we are delivering. At Get Training, we pride ourselves on limited class numbers to ensure that candidates receive one-to-one support according to individual needs.

Get Training always welcomes potential candidates at our centre and are delighted to give tours of our facilities. Additionally, we are happy to provide you with the opportunity to discuss course details with our training consultants or trainers, who will be able to answer any questions and provide you with further details on our courses.

To become Gas Safe registered you must hold ACS CCN1 Core Domestic Gas Safety and be able to demonstrate competency. To access ACS CCN1, you must hold an appropriately recognised qualification (Get to Gas) and have proven on-site (placement) experience having built a 40 job portfolio. Get Training will support you the whole way through with regular reviews and work with you to achieve your goal.

With our large database of Gas Safe registered companies who work with us to provide work placements, many of our candidates do gain jobs at the end of their course whilst others enter into self-employment. We cannot guarantee jobs but we endeavour to make you aware of any opportunities that arise.

Salaries vary with an engineer’s level of experience. The average salary is £36,679, but it ranges from £32,500 and £42,500. Many of our candidates working in the industry are earning incomes they never thought possible!

Our Get to Gas course is aimed at anyone who has a commitment to learning, whether you are a new entrant to the industry or an experienced plumber, our course will provide you with knowledge and experience in all required areas to enable you to become Gas Safe qualified. Under new regulations, every operative working on gas must now prove their competency with a recognised qualification.

From 1st January 2019, all electric installers must design, install, inspect, test and complete maintenance on any electrical works according to the new 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671:2018). Any employer or Competent Persons Scheme will likely want to see evidence of this knowledge to prove up-to-date competence and reliability.
