Our fast track Pathway to Gas course consists of up to six weeks full time training. It covers all aspects of gas safety legislation reflecting the requirements of IGEM/IG/1. Candidates are provided with quality tools, equipment and training materials to support their learning. The training is followed by a minimum 6-month period of onsite experience with a Gas Safe registered engineer, working on a range of installation and maintenance jobs, building a portfolio of evidence of experience gained. On successful completion of the course and portfolio you will be able to take the ACS assessment and will become a Gas Safe registered engineer.

Our unique practical training workshop is equipped with a full range of gas appliances along with our extraordinary purpose-built house where candidates are given the opportunity to install a full central heating system and assessed in individual dedicated bays. What our candidates really think…

  • I was looking to do my gas qualification for a number of years and found myself with time on my hands. I did a lot of investigating on the internet and contacted numerous companies before choosing Get Training. Get Training’s Training Advisor arranged my start time and explained the training schedule, arranged accommodation and managed to arrange a placement for me on the Isle Of Wight where I live.

All Get Training staff are very professional, my trainer has been working in the gas industry for over 40 years and is a ‘mind full of knowledge’, there is nothing he doesn’t know about gas.

The best part of the training is the way things are explained to you. If you are unsure it is explained again until you understand, and with regular assessments every week the knowledge becomes imprinted in your mind.

Get Training are a thoroughly professional outfit who ease you through the learning process. Practical tasks are carried out in the workshop, gaining experience in all matters of gas.

I am well on my way to a good career in gas, having passed my exams and assessments. I am now Gas Safe registered and owe it to all my eagerness to learn and the dedication of all Get Training staff. Thank you Get Training!
