Skills Bootcamps are flexible courses of up to 16 weeks, giving people the opportunity to build up sector-specific skills and fast-track to an interview with an employer. These courses are fully funded and are free for learners. They are available to those who are unemployed, employed (looking to change career), and self-employed. Skills Bootcamps can be co-funded by employers to enable upskilling of employees.
This Bootcamp Package is designed for those who wish to learn, develop and practice the skills required for employment and/or career progression inthe electrotechnology sector.
Our students complete an intensive 4 weeks training course:
Domestic Installation SkillsElectrical installation work/learn to install many circuits commonly found in domestic properties.
Fundamental Installation TheoryIntroduction to electrical theory relevant to domestic wiring.
Inspection and TestingDevelop skills in inspection/testing and learn processes, practices and procedures for carrying out a full electrical test/completing relevant paperwork.
Wiring RegulationsPractice referencing to wiring regulations and understanding the purpose, layout and content.
Practical AssessmentsPractical summative assessments on health, safety and practical installation works.
SS2D Theory AssessmentsCompletion of electrical science and installation theory modules and summative assessment on electricalinstallation theory and principles of electrical science.
