Skills Bootcamps are flexible courses of up to 16 weeks, giving people the opportunity to build up sector-specific skills and fast-track to an interview with an employer. These courses are fully funded and are free for learners. They are available to those who are unemployed, employed (looking to change career), and self-employed. Skills Bootcamps can be co-funded by employers to enable upskilling of employees.
This Bootcamp Package is designed for existing, qualified electricians looking to upskill to design, install and maintain new and existing green technologies including Solar PV, Electrical Energy (Battery) Storage and Electric Vehicle Charging Installations.
Our students complete an intensive 8 Days training course:
Introduction to Domestic RetrofitCovers how to assess dwellings for retrofit, identify improvement options, design and specify energy efficiency measures. This course goes hand in hand with green skills and will give learners knowledge of the subject area in order to deal with customer questions about improving energy performance of property.
EV Car ChargingAimed at existing electricians, supporting the development of knowledge/understanding of electric vehicle charging design and installations. Learners will understand the specific requirements for the design and installation of domestic and small commercial electric vehicle charging installations.
Solar PVAimed at existing electricians, supporting the development of knowledge/understanding of Solar PV installations. Learners will understand the specific requirements for the design and installation of domestic/small commercial solar PV installations.
Electrical Energy Storage SystemsThis qualification is aimed at existing electricians, supporting the development of knowledge/ understanding of energy storage. Learners will understand the specific requirements for design and installation of domestic electrical energy storage systems.
