Course Background
Although this course is aimed at Heating & Refrigeration Engineers, it is a good beginners electrical course and suitable for anyone interested in learning practical electrical skills. So if you’re interested in a career in electrical installation, then our Essential Electrics (Level 1 Installation) course is aimed at you. It covers basic wiring activities that would be necessary for domestic properties.
The course contains basic competencies you will need for entry into the electrical trade and could lead to further progression routes.
Throughout the course, you will learn a range of practical skills to enable you to work as a domestic installer. You will also learn the essentials of earthing and bonding as well as how to correctly use the tools of the trade.
You will also learn installation theory covering aspects such as cable sizing and selecting the right cable types for the job at hand.
