Students complete an intensive 3-day training course:

• Requirements for completing the safe isolation of electrical circuits and installations.
• Requirements for the use of test instruments for inspection and testing of electrical installations.
• Requirements for completing the inspection of electrical installations.
• Requirements for testing before circuits are energized.
• Requirements for testing energized installations.
• Requirements for periodic inspecting and testing of electrical installations.
• Requirements for the completion of Electrical Installation Condition Reports and associated documentation.
• Ability to confirm safe systems of work and the suitability of the electrical installation for periodic inspection and testing.
• Ability to carry out testing of electrical installations.
• Ability to complete and report on the condition of the electrical installation to the client.
