ACS Reassessment Course

25

The ACS reassessment course is for experienced gas engineers and fitters who have existing knowledge and skills.

Professional gas engineers need to renew their ACS every 5 years, to be able to stay on the Gas Safe register. The course checks that the engineer is still able to complete their work in line with gas safe regulations.

If your certificate has expired in the last 12 months, or it is due to expire in the next 6, you can apply for this course. If you do not yet have your certificate, you need to apply for our ACS initial assessment.

About The ACS Reassessment Course

The ACS reassessment course is a practical and theory course that can be completed in 2-3 days. The course is only available to engineers who need to renew their licence. It is not an entry course for trainee gas engineers.

The course covers:

  • CCN1/CPA1 – Core Domestic Natural Gas Safety and Combustion Analysis V1/18
  • CENWAT1 – Central Heating Boilers and Hot Water Heaters, (previously CEN & WAT1 ACS were separate modules, they are now combined to form the CENWAT)
  • CKR1 – Domestic Cookers
  • HTR1 – Gas Fires and Wall Heaters
  • MET1 – Metres
  • Unfortunately, we no longer run the Warm Air Module

At the end of the course, there is a practical and written test.

Apply For Your Course

To apply for the ACS reassessment course, you must have a previous ACS certificate that has expired within the last 12 months or is due to expire in the next 6.

We will also need your Gas Safe registration number and expiry date.

Many attendees feel that it’s useful to arrange refresher training before the reassessment course, but please note this is not included in our course price.
